Racebolt has launched a new range of titanium small flanged hex head bolts. These precision engineered motorcycle bolts were designed and copyrighted by Racebolt, and like all of our titanium bolts are manufactured on site in Bristol.
The Bolt in Brief
Currently available in sizes M6 x 15mm, 20mm, 25mm and 30mm long, M8 x 15mm,20mm,25mm,30mm,35mm,40mm and 50mm long, and M10F (1.25mm pitch) x 20mm, 25mm, 30mm and 35mm long.
The manufacturing process involves machine rolling the threads, crushing the shape of the thread into the surface of the bolt. This process is not only accurate, but also creates a much more durable thread by directing the grain of the material around the thread form.
Titanium – Light but Strong
Our whole range of titanium bolts are made from Aircraft Spec Grade 5 Titanium. They are upwards of 40% lighter than steel equivalents, without compromising on strength. Titanium does not corrode, providing a long lasting solution that is also easy to remove.
Why Choose This Bolt?
They are a perfect alternative to Socket Caps. They are more durable, even with regular use, and can be torqued to a higher level. The lightweight properties of titanium make them ideal racing motorcycle bolts. They are a step up from steel alternatives in racing machines where every spare gram counts, but the strength and quality makes them a good choice for the road, too.
The product is already making an impression. Mar-Train Racing’s Andy Jamison said,
‘These are brilliant bolts. We use them for all of our front-end pinch bolts for forks and yokes on our Mar-Train race bikes, replacing the OEM cap screws. We also use the regular flanged head bolts for pretty much everything else!’
Racebolt supplies in bulk to the race industry but also sells parts in any quantity at manufacturers prices to the public.
